Japanese business appreciated the advantages of Trans-Siberian Railway. CTM at the Tokyo’s CCTT business forum

At the end of May, the CTM delegation took part in the V Business Forum of the Coordinating Council on Trans-Siberian Transportation (CCTT) held in Tokyo. During the forum, representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, the Ministry of State Lands, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, CCTT, the Association of Trans-Siberian Intermodal Operators of Japan (TSIOAJ) and Russian Railways signed a memorandum of cooperation on the organization of container traffic from Japan to Europe through the Trans-Siberian Railway.

During the process of discussing the aspects of increase of freight traffic from Japan to Europe through the Russian railways, CTM delegation made a presentation to the participants of the forum. The company's general director Ognyan Andreev told representatives of business and government of Russia and Japan about CTM flagship products, which have been solving the tasks of automating the processes of customs clearance of goods on the Russian border and railway logistics in Russia and neighboring countries for a long time.

Since the delivery of large volumes of cargo from Japan to mainland Russia is possible only by sea, the Sea Port web portal was presented to Japanese business. CTM was one of the portal’s developers. The “single window” system of Sea Port portal allows to increase the effectiveness of the interaction of the Federal Customs, Federal Border and other state services of Russia with all participants in the maritime transport process. Sea Port web-portal has been operating for several years and has been deployed in all international seaports of Russia. In conjunction with the portal, the participants of the forum were offered the Fill-Bill system, a software package for interacting with the Russian Federal Customs Service in order to organize procedures for preliminary information and transit of goods.

Of no less interest to Japanese manufacturers and logistic companies are the CTM software solutions for railway logistics. Among them:

  • Rail-Tariff, which automates the calculation of the freight rates for cargo transportation by rail;
  • Rail-Info is an information and reference system that contains a unique in terms of volume and relevance regulatory framework of documents regulating the railway freight transportation. Available in Russian.

These products allow to effectively solve the problems of freight logistics on railway routes not only in Russia, but also in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Moldova, Mongolia and Poland. A number of other EU and Central Asia states are added to this list of countries mentioned above in the programs for building railway routes Rail-Atlas and Rail-Route Server.
