Publish date: 14 july 2019
Transport logistic, the largest exhibition of industry, keeps getting bigger. Event in Munich hosted in this June 2374 participants from 63 countries and 64,000 visitors. Chinese business doubled its presence at this fair. CTM company has been taking part in Munich transport logistic exhibitions for almost 10 years. Companies’ experts noted a new wave of interest in New Silk Road – particularly China-Europe-China rail freight through Russian Trans-Siberian Railway and neighboring countries.
The top topics were the trade war between the USA and China and the shortage of drivers. The interest to the New Silk Road was clearly noticeable at the same time. European and Chinese commodity producers and freight forwarding companies are looking for new possibilities and drivers in Russia and other countries. Representatives of more than 100 companies visited CTM stand from 30 countries: Germany, China, Poland, Finland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey, Georgia etc.
The products of the Rail-Office software package, particularly a bundle of programs and services Rail-Atlas, Rail-Tariff aroused the great interest. The opportunity to build an actual railway route from China to Europe and back, to calculate the cost of freight on the selected route got high appreciation of many visitors and exhibitors.
CTM delegation had negotiations with IT companies from Germany, Italy, USA and other countries. At these meetings, CTM experts and their foreign counterparts shared experiences and knowledge in multimodal freight forwarding in Russia, CIS and Europe and discussed possible areas of cooperation.
CTM has been participating in the largest industry expositions in Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Europe for more than 15 years. Each exhibition is an opportunity to fill the information vacuum about transport and logistics processes and IT products in the 1520-gauge railway space to representatives of European and Asian business. However, it is not the only CTM channel to communicate with foreign business. During the last exhibition, CTM managed to pay close attention to their products and establish new contacts with the Russian Export Center, the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Federative Republic of Germany and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in the Federal Republic of Germany. These organizations help to inform the audience and to promote useful products in German market.
The advantages of transportation of goods from China to Europe and back by railways of Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and other countries on the routes of the New Silk Road are becoming more and more obvious to business. For its speed in comparison with sea transportation, for environmental friendliness in comparison with road transport, for its cost efficiency in comparison with air transportation. Transport logistic 2019 exhibition once again confirmed this.
